What the People Want -- The Dave Rawlings Machine

I get about a dozen hits a day from folks sniffing out info on the Dave Rawlings Machine. That's pocket change for most blogs, but it's high fame for the Tent Revue. So in the spirit of pandering to the masses, and stopgap filling, here's another broad DAVE RAWLINGS MACHINE post.

For up-to-date info on the Machine, I'd recommend you keep an eye on the Yahoo group for Gillian Welch fans, whiskey-girl. They've got reviews and setlists. Scanning the posts over there this morning, I found this YouTube video of the Dave Rawlings Machine rocking across the classic Ryan Adams/Dave Rawlings composition, "To Be Young." God I hope I get a chance to see this act.

Soon maybe, more likely later, I'll brew up a "What the People Want" post on Old Crow National guitar picker and perennial Google blossom Critter Fuqua, as well as on my sought-after Chicago-brand banjo. Meanwhile here's my review of the recent boxed set, Friends of Old Time Music.
